Add some fun and flavor to your DIY Festival experience with a hands-on virtual workshop with talented craft foodie Ana Valdemoros of Argentina's Best Empanadas!
Join us as we explore Argentina’s tasty Italian import, gnocchi pasta. Following along with Ana at home, virtual workshop participants will learn three vegetarian-friendly recipes for preparing and cooking the pillowy pasta dumplings using potatoes, beets, and spinach. Workshop attendees will master new techniques as they mix, cut, fold, and boil the signature gnocchi. The virtual workshop will conclude by attendees enjoying their culinary creations. You'll want to serve gnocchi with every dish after this class!
Registered workshop students can pickup a Gnocchi Workshop Kit with gnocchi ingredients from Argentina’s Best Empanadas at 357 South 200 East in Salt Lake City, Utah 84111 on Friday, August 7 from noon-2pm or 4pm-9pm, or on Saturday, August 8 from 11am-1pm. Note: These kits are not available for delivery.
Items needed at-home for this workshop include olive oil, a knife for cutting vegetables (note: please be careful!), a large pot, strainer, paper towels, cutting board, bowl and kitchen work surface. Optional items include a vegetable peeler and food processor.
